We will be building a cob pizza oven (Horno) over the course of two weekends including foundation and sculpture design. Cob is an earthen building technique that has been utilized for centuries by primitive and modern cultures. Cob comes from raw, local and unprocessed materials. Mixing clay, sand and straw with our hands and feet will connect our bodies to the land and the process of creation, and also to the ways of simplicity and wisdom of the Earth.

Bring water, lunch, notebook & pen, sunglasses, hat, & wear clothes for mud work!
